Brittany's Baby Shower

All of the girls went to celebrate with our sweet friend, Brittany this past weekend! Brittany is due this September with baby Hudson Pierce. Isn't that the cutest name!!! Brittany grew up as one of my sisters closest friend and quickly became part of our family! She is such a sweetheart! And we were excited to share this day with her. Emma was so excited about going to the shower with just the girls. And Kaitlyn and Emma loved helping Brittany. They brought her all of the gifts to unwrap. Such sweet girls. We can't wait to meet Mr. Hudson!

Happy Birthday, Danny!

We celebrated Danny's birthday with the Zumwalt's at Nagoya's. It was so much fun! Emma and Gabe have mastered using chopsticks! They do a better job at it than I can :) Danny and Brandy love sushi. But I have never wanted to try it before. It just hasn't sounded like something I would like. But Danny wanted Jeff to try it. So, we ordered some for the first time. And I must say that I am hooked! It was really good!

The cook had to try about 5 times before Jeff could catch a piece of shrimp in his mouth :) But he finally got it!


Danny asked for a fondant cake for his birthday. So, Brandy looked up how to make one online and she did a great job! Isn't it the cutest cake! Jeff was so impressed. He is a little bit of a Mac fanatic. Another thing besides sushi that his little brother introduced him to :) Danny and Brandy had waited in line eight hours that day to get two new Iphones. So, this cake was very appropriate! By the way, isn't this the cutest picture of Brandy? Very photogenic!

Aunt Margaret came from Seattle to visit Nana and her family! And she brought all of the kids adorable shirts from Pike Place Fish Market. It is such a fun place! We will have to take the kids one day!

Dad's Birthday

We celebrated my dad's birthday this past Wednesday! Dad picked Babe's for his birthday dinner. One of our favorites!!!! We had a wonderful night celebrating dad! He is a special husband, father and grandfather. And we love you very much!!!

Bounce House Fun

We headed to Burleson to meet KK and Noah at the jump house! It is the perfect place to get out of the Texas heat! And the kids get a little energy out too :) We were the first ones there and Emma and Gabe got to see all of the houses inflate. They thought that was pretty cool! It was a fun morning!

Daddy's Helper

Gabe loves helping Jeff work in the yard. Here are the boys fertilizing the grass. Jeff told Gabe to run and get his shoes on if he wanted to help. And of course he got his cowboy boots! Too cute!!!

Our baby is here!

Our little, baby bird has arrived! I posted earlier about a bird who built a nest in one of our hanging baskets. We found this sweet bird earlier this week! Yesterday, I saw the mom trying to teach it to fly. And I haven't seen either since. So, I think they have flown the coop :) But we are hoping she will come back next year!
